   Tony is Professor and Chair of the Department of Management in the School of Business at Western New England College located in Springfield, MA.  Springfield is located in the western part of the state, nestled in the Pioneer Valley, and is known to many as "The City of Homes."   The College continues to expand to accommodate an ever increasing resident student population which is currently 90% of the full-time student body.  The campus is situated on 210 acres in a residential area known as Sixteen Acres.  Western New England College (WNEC) has deployed a strategic plan to broaden its excellent reputation beyond the northeast region.  Take a virtual tour by clicking on the College icon at the top left of this page. 

Students come from a wide geographic area throughout the United States and several countries.  The College is fully accredited by the NEASC.  The College houses  the School of Business, the School of Engineering, the School of Arts and Sciences and the ABA accredited School of Law.  The School of Engineering is accredited by ABET and the School of Business is currently in its third year of candidacy status for AACSB accreditation.  Small classes, an emphasis on career preparation, an outstanding placement rate, and close ties with the faculty are distinguishing characteristics of this fine institution.

The management department, where Professor Chelte is chair and professor, has 11 full-time faculty members.  The faculty is actively engaged in both professional and academic arenas.  Professor Chelte's areas of interest include Employee Relations, Conflict Resolution, Business Strategies, Organizational Behavior and HRM.   He has authored numerous articles, chapters, and professional papers.  He instructs courses on both the undergraduate and MBA levels and is active in research and managerial consulting.
